Tender Type Doesn't Exist in Open Statement
Problem (ISSUE-003)
During statement processing, the system reports that a tender type does not exist or is invalid. This usually occurs when a transaction references a tender type number that is missing or incorrectly configured in the Trans. Payment Entry table.
Symptoms
- Error message indicating that the tender type does not exist or is invalid during statement posting.
- Statement processing fails or stops at a specific transaction.
- The same error appears repeatedly for the same store or terminal until the configuration is corrected.
Solution
- Open Object Designer.
- Search for: Trans. Payment Entry.
- Ask Hassan which tender type number should be used and update accordingly.
Contact Required
Always consult with Hassan (Head of Software Department) before updating tender type numbers to ensure the correct value is used.
Prevention
- Ensure all tender types used at the POS are properly configured and documented.
- Review changes to tender types with the Head of Software Department before applying them in production.
- Periodically audit tender type configurations to verify they match business and POS requirements.
