ERR Insert for TRANS (SERVER NAME) to BC22 Job in LS Data Director
Problem (ISSUE-011)​
The LS Data Director job for TRANS (SERVER NAME) → BC22 fails with an ERR Insert message.
Cause​
This typically happens when:
- The SQL Server (SQL22) service is unresponsive
- The backup directory is full
Symptoms​
- LS Data Director job for TRANS (SERVER NAME) → BC22 shows ERR Insert status.
- Data is not being replicated from the source server to BC22 as expected.
- Monitoring dashboards or logs show repeated failures for this specific job.
Solution​
Step 1: Restart the SQL Server Service (SQL22)​
- Open Services (press
Win + R, typeservices.msc). - Locate SQL Server (SQL22).
- Right-click → Restart.
Step 2: Clean Up Old Backups​

Navigate to the backup path:
D:\Backup\Al-Amer_Market Dropbox\Ibrahim AL-Amer\Apps\SQL Backup Master\Contabo\DB -
Delete older backup files, keeping only two of each (for safety and recovery purposes).
Step 3: Re-run the LS Data Director Job​
After cleanup, re-run the LS Data Director job to confirm successful synchronization.
Backup Management
Keeping the backup folder light helps prevent disk-space errors and improves replication job performance. Always keep at least two recent backups for safety.
Backup Deletion
Be careful when deleting backups. Ensure you keep at least two recent backups for recovery purposes.
