Batch Posting Status is 'Finished', but Changes Are Needed

Problem (ISSUE-007)​

Batch posting is marked as Finished, but the related document still needs modification or correction before it can be considered final.

Symptoms​

  • A batch posting entry shows status Finished, but the underlying document requires changes.
  • Users cannot easily re-open or modify the document through the normal posting flow.
  • Finance or operations teams report that a posted document must be adjusted before final reporting.

Solution​

  1. Open the Development Environment.
  2. Go to the table: Batch Posting Queue.
  3. Delete the document line from the queue.

The Batch Posting Queue table manages documents waiting to be posted. Removing a line from this queue allows you to make changes to the document before reposting.

Prevention​

  • Review batch posting queues regularly to ensure only ready-to-post documents are included.
  • Train users on correct batch preparation and validation steps before starting batch posting.
  • Establish a process for validating documents prior to posting to minimize the need for post-finish changes.
