Posting Date is Wrong in Open Statement

Problem (ISSUE-006)

Incorrect posting date in an open statement. This can cause reporting discrepancies and mismatches between operational dates and accounting records.

Symptoms

  • The posting date on an open statement does not match the actual business or transaction date.
  • Reports or financial summaries show sales on the wrong date.
  • Auditors or finance users report inconsistencies between statements and other source documents.

Solution

  1. In the Object Designer, open the table: Statement.
  2. Update the posting date to the correct one.
  3. Notify the auditor to refresh the page (⚠️ do not delete the statement).
Important

Do NOT delete the statement - only update the posting date. Notify the auditor to refresh their view after the change.

Prevention

  • Ensure that statement dates are reviewed and confirmed before posting.
  • Train users to verify the posting date when creating or editing statements, especially around period-end.
  • Coordinate with auditors and finance teams to promptly correct any detected date issues before closing periods.
