LS Central

LS Central is a comprehensive retail management solution built on Microsoft Dynamics NAV. This guide covers setup, configuration, and initial configuration of LS Central.


Overview​

LS Central provides:

Prerequisites​

Before setting up LS Central, ensure you have:

  • ✅ Microsoft Dynamics NAV installed and configured
  • ✅ SQL Server database set up
  • ✅ Network infrastructure in place
  • ✅ Required licenses (NAV + LS Central)
  • ✅ Administrative access
  • ✅ Understanding of retail operations

Installation​

Step 1: System Requirements​

  1. Server Requirements

    • Windows Server 2016 or later
    • Minimum 16GB RAM (32GB+ recommended)
    • Sufficient disk space for databases
    • Network connectivity
    • SQL Server installed
  2. Client Requirements

    • Windows 10/11 or Windows Server
    • Minimum 4GB RAM
    • Network connectivity to NAV server
    • Required .NET Framework

Step 2: Install LS Central Client Components​

  1. Access the Installer

    • Ensure you are connected to the same network as the shared storage server
    • Navigate to the network path:
      \\172.16.16.3\d\Setup\Client install\2- Install LS Client
    • Click on LS Central 14.02.00.1035 Client Components
    • The installation wizard will launch
    Network Access
    • Network Connection Required: You must be connected to the same network as the shared storage server
    • IP Address Varies: The IP address (172.16.16.3) may change from branch to branch
    • Verify IP: Confirm the correct IP address for your branch before accessing the network path
  2. Select Additional Tasks

    The installation wizard will present options for:

    Install for Dynamics versions:

    • ✅ Install for Dynamics 365 Business Central (14.0) - Check this option
    • Install for Dynamics 365 Business Central (13.0) - Optional
    • Install for Dynamics NAV 2018 (11.0) - Optional
    • Install for Dynamics NAV 2017 (10.0) - Optional
    • Install for Dynamics NAV 2016 (9.0) - Optional
    • Install for Dynamics NAV 2015 (8.0) - Optional
    • Install for Dynamics NAV 2013 R2 (7.1) - Optional
    • Install for Dynamics NAV 2013 (7.0) - Optional

    Additional Components:

    • ✅ LS Start - Check this option
    • ✅ LS Dual Display - Check this option
    • ✅ OPOS Components (with Common Control Objects) - Check this option
    • ✅ Demo Data Fonts (LS1, LS2, LS3) - Check this option
    • ✅ LS Hardware Station - Check this option

    Click Next to continue.

  3. Ready to Install

    Review the installation summary:

    • Additional tasks to be installed
    • Dynamics NAV AddIn location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central\140\RoleTail

    Click Install to begin the installation.

  4. Database Setup (if installing server components)

    • Run LS Central database scripts
    • Configure database objects
    • Set up initial data
    • Verify installation
